Delta Airlines has a round-trip Grand Rapids-to-Belize City flight at $398 for travel in Late October / Early November!
This Delta flight is sitting all by itself out at the end of October at $398 and I’m not really sure why and I’m not sure how long it will last. Belize City has averaged $910 from Grand Rapids and $760 from Detroit so this is a great price point if you can make the dates work. Belize City and Caye Caulker are and unbelievable mix of water and land adventure that will check all the boxes for most travelers. Here are some of the reasons to visit Belize:
Pristine Natural Beauty
Belize is renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, from the stunning Belize Barrier Reef to lush rainforests and ancient Mayan ruins. Snorkeling or diving in the clear waters of the Belize Barrier Reef provides a chance to explore vibrant coral reefs and encounter diverse marine life, including colorful fish, rays, and sharks. Inland, you can immerse yourself in the lush greenery of the rainforests, where hidden waterfalls and exotic wildlife await.
Unforgettable Marine Adventures
Caye Caulker, a small and laid-back island just off Belize's coast, is a haven for marine adventures. The crystal-clear waters around Caye Caulker are perfect for snorkeling, allowing you to swim with friendly nurse sharks, rays, and other marine species at spots like Shark Ray Alley. If you're a diving enthusiast, the Great Blue Hole is a must-visit site to experience the unique underwater formations and deep blue abyss.
Rich Mayan History and Archaeological Sites
Belize boasts a remarkable history of Mayan civilization, with several well-preserved archaeological sites scattered across the country. Visiting the ancient Mayan ruins, such as Xunantunich, Caracol, and Altun Ha, provides a fascinating glimpse into the once-thriving civilization's culture and architecture.
Laid-Back Island Vibes
Caye Caulker's relaxed and friendly atmosphere is perfect for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The island's motto, "Go Slow," captures the essence of its laid-back lifestyle, where you can unwind on sandy beaches, soak up the sun, and revel in the easygoing ambiance. Caye Caulker's charming streets, local markets, and vibrant seaside eateries provide an authentic taste of Caribbean island life.

Belizeans are known for their warm hospitality and welcoming nature. Whether you're exploring the cultural sites of Belize City or enjoying the island life of Caye Caulker, interacting with the friendly locals will leave a lasting impression on your travel experience.
