Roundtrip flights from Detroit to Alaska are available for just $247 for select travel dates from September through February.
We’ve been seeing similar Alaska deals pop up from other Great Lakes airports recently, but this is the first time we’ve ever seen Detroit fares drop this low. Flights to Alaska are often $550+ roundtrip, making $247 a price that’s simply too good not to share.
Fall and winter offer a completely different side of Alaska. September brings fall colors, fewer crowds, and opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing around Anchorage. As winter arrives, travelers can experience snow-covered mountains, dog sledding, winter train rides, and some of the best opportunities to see the Northern Lights. Skiers and snowboarders can also head to Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska’s premier ski resort, surrounded by the Chugach Mountains and just about 40 miles from Anchorage.

The heart of winter isn’t for everyone, but for travelers looking for a true Alaska winter adventure, January and February can be an incredible time to visit—especially with airfare this inexpensive.
