I’m pretty much of the mindset that anytime I see a discounted flight to Liberia, Costa Rica, I’m going to post it. This destination is high on my bucket list, and the adventure opportunities and scenery are just unbelievable.
American Airlines has a few flights from Traverse City to Liberia priced at $437 for travel in March and May. Not a ton of options, but a fantastic price! Plus, Liberia is centrally located, so you can pack plenty of beach and rainforest adventures into a seven-day trip.
This route typically costs $600–$800 from Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Chicago, so if you can make the dates work, this is a deal worth jumping on!
Why Fly into Liberia Instead of San Jose?
Liberia, located in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica, offers several advantages over flying into the capital, San Jose:
