Iām not sure if this is on your radar, but starting in May, Frontier Airlines is adding 10 additional nonstop routes from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (see below for details). These flights are in addition to the direct routes they announced last month to Minneapolis and LaGuardia (NYC). These routes will establish Frontier as the dominant carrier in Cleveland. Frontier will now serve 30 cities, which represents almost a 40% increase in peak summer departures compared to last year. This new activity will only add to Cleveland Hopkins' standing as one of the busiest airports in the Midwest, serving almost 9 million passengers a year.
This might not seem like relevant news to you, but Cleveland is a 4-hour drive from Grand Rapids and only 2 hours and 20 minutes from Detroit. This makes it a viable option for travelers seeking rock-bottom prices and the convenience of direct flights.
