As a follow up to my Village Cheese Shanty promotion a couple weeks ago I am giving away a $50 gift card to another one of my favorite sandwich shops. Mary’s Kitchen Port is a family-owned kitchen and sandwich shop that opened in 1971 on the west end of Front Street in Traverse City. It is very rare for me to be in Northern Michigan and not swing by Mary’s for a sandwich. Everything about this place is focused on quality and service, but still at an affordable price.
Their MKP Gobbler sandwich is a comfort food to me at this point and I’m not even sure why. The sandwich has thin sliced roasted turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, crisp romaine lettuce, Hellmann’s mayo, and is served on house baked focaccia that is sprinkled with sea salt. This is an extremely simple sandwich, but the use of quality ingredients and the combination of textures from the fresh baked bread and the crisp lettuce make this a time-tested classic.
Mary’s Kitchen Port also sells kitchen goods, food seasonings, and specialty foods, which include a mix of salads, sides and deserts. My other can’t miss items are the rustic Italian pasta, the fresh made raspberry lemonade, and the caramels by the checkout counter. As an FYI there is no seating at the shop, but these food items are perfect for a grab and go picnic, a day at the beach, or to take on the boat.
As with the other drawings to be eligible you have to comment below with your name and email. I did have several people comment on the post last time, but didn’t leave their email, so please do that if you're interested in winning!
I don’t advertise. I’m trying to create as much value as I can for subscribers by finding flight deals, but also bringing you promotions from companies that are doing an exceptional job in Michigan. If you’re enjoying the travel deals, please consider upgrading to a paid subscription, and sharing the deals with your friends and family.
Thanks,
Adam
