Spirit Airlines has Round-trip Flights from Detroit-to-Lima, Peru for $388 in April and May!!
This is a route that hasn’t fluctuated all that much, but I wanted to put it in front of you when it dipped below $400. Lima is on my list of places I would like to see because it offers such a wide range of activities for tourists. Lima offers unique historical sites, culture, food, beaches, shopping, and nightlife that attracts visitors from all over the world.
Culture and History: Lima is a city with a rich cultural heritage and a long history that dates back to pre-Columbian times. It is home to numerous museums, art galleries, and archaeological sites, such as the famous Huaca Pucllana and Huaca Huallamarca.
Food: Lima is known as the gastronomic capital of South America, and it has some of the best restaurants in the world. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of delicious dishes, including ceviche, anticuchos, and causa, as well as fusion cuisine that combines Peruvian and international flavors.
Beaches: Lima is located on the Pacific coast, and it has several beaches that are popular among tourists and locals alike. Some of the most famous beaches include Miraflores, Barranco, and Chorrillos, where visitors can relax, sunbathe, and enjoy the ocean views.
Shopping: Lima is home to many shopping centers, markets, and street vendors that offer a wide variety of products, including handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry. The most famous markets are the Mercado Central and the Miraflores Market.
Nightlife: Lima has a vibrant nightlife scene, with many bars, clubs, and discos that offer a wide variety of music and entertainment options. Some of the most popular areas for nightlife include Miraflores, Barranco, and San Isidro.
If you’re itching for an international trip Lima might just be the place and at sub-$400 you can’t go wrong. Travel well and remember a dollar saved in the air is a dollar earned on the ground!
