The Magic of Smaller Adventures
I looked at a lot of pricing tonight, but couldn’t find a flight worth sharing. It doesn’t happen a lot, but it does happen. So instead of sharing a travel deal I thought I would share a photo of my kids sailing this week with Northport Youth Sailing School. This was just a short road trip for us, but it is a reminder of the absolute magic that is found in smaller adventures.
The highlight of the week for my kids was sailing over a shipwreck. The highlight for me as a parent was seeing these tiny travelers lean into all the character traits that are required to sail a boat, or take a trip, or navigate life. Character traits like adaptability, resilience, communication, patience, and courage. Travel can teach us so much about the world and other cultures, but it can also teach us about ourselves, what’s inside us, and what we’re capable of.
Let’s continue to work together to plan for the big trips, but also take advantage of the smaller more frequent adventures that can be just as meaningful!
Enjoy your weekend!
