Village Cheese Shanty, Leland MI - Opening Day 2023 - Free $50 Gift Card!

Today is the day! One of the things I look forward to every year is opening day at the Village Cheese Shop in Leland. This place is quintessential Northern Michigan: quality, priced fairly, a little quirky, and set in a beautiful location. When they open for the year, on the shores of Lake Michigan, it’s the official kickoff to my spring and summer. All of their sandwiches are delicious, but the Lake Effect (chicken breast, goat cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayo, substitute baguette, and served on their delicious pretzel bread) is gold to me. I have amazing summer memories of eating sandwiches and spending time in Fishtown or at Van’s Beach.
