Calgary is a wonderful destination to visit in the summer, with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy and festivals to attend. Calgary is centrally located between Banff National Park, Waterton Lakes National Park, and Glacier National Park. All three can be reached in under three hours and that car time is guaranteed to be spectacular with huge views and wildlife sightings.

The most well-known summer festival has to be the Calgary Stampede, which takes place for 10 days every July. This world-renowned rodeo and festival features live music, parades, food, and rodeo events. Other summer festivals include the Calgary Folk Music Festival and GlobalFest, an international fireworks competition.
